Yes. If they are Participants joining a call on a Space.

What is required to enable Kibana exporting Dashboards as pdf and send per mail?

It requires the Elastic Subscription pack. This allows exporting data as CSV and/or PDFs. Watchers (triggering events on specific conditions), a SQL Connecter (Connect to Elastic from software that supports SQL connecters).

How do you add external sources to Kibana? I have setup nodejs to pull Cisco CE video endpoints analytics and data such as people count, people presence, mediachannels, packet loss etc. Is this something that can be integrated into VQ and Kibana?

One of the great benefits of Elastic is that this sort of thing is relatively easy. It’s on our roadmap; the challenge at the moment is we have a current set of priorities we need to do first. If you’d like to work with us and potentially help speed this up, we’d love to talk!

Does VQ Conference Manager manage Spaces and room configuration in CMS? The primary function is a reporting and monitoring platform?

VQ Conference Manager does manage Spaces on CMS (provisioning, meeting management, scheduling, self-service apps). Today’s webinar was focussed on the Analytics and reporting side of what VQ Conference Manager offers; we didn’t show or talk about the CMS side of VQ.

How do you monitor quality for video calls in VQCM?

Currently, we store details like packet loss, jitter, high roundtrip, video geometry and codec details (audio/video) into VQ’s CDR records that can be processed after the event by Kibana. VQ also has the ability to present operators real-time call quality data via the Statistics option on the Activity page. We are looking at persisting this additional information into Elastic; the issue is that the CMS API is limited in terms of requests per second and so there’s a complication of doing this in a manner that works and doesn’t kill a system with large numbers of concurrent calls.

How many reports are there in Kibana? And is there any way of customizing ones?

There are currently 7 major dashboard panels. Each panel contains between 4-6 visualizations. So, somewhere in the region of 40-50. Kibana has very good inbuilt support for creating new visualizations and dashboards or taking existing ones and customzing.

How can I see my CMS license usage?

From the default VQ Conference Manager Kibana Dashboards, enter the Cisco Meeting Server Dashboard and you can view the dashboard CMS License Usage.

Note: As at April 2020, we haven't yet implemented the CMS licensing changes that went into CMS 2.6. These resolved issues around licensing on a multi-node cluster. The licensing consumption we show, should currently be treated as indicative.
