VQ Conference Manager DMA - Device Status Alert Conditions

VQ Conference Manager DMA displays several real-time status conditions in the Devices area of the application. These status notifications provide key information to a DMA user to indicate the basic ‘health’ of the environment.

The following table describes the device feedback conditions that drive the status ‘flags’ in the Device area:

NOTE: If feedback is configured successfully on the device via DMA but the status remains “unknown”, this could be due to the device failing to resolve the FQDN of DMA (DNS issue). It could also be because the DMA cert was not configured.

VQ Conference Manager DMA uses the Cisco RoomOS xAPI to communicate with Collaboration Devices. This communication includes configuration (xConfiguration), commands (xCommand) and status requests (xStatus).

To obtain status information for display in the Devices area and to record in the Analytics module for use in DMA Dashboard, DMA uses the ‘Httpfeedback’ command. The table below details the Httpfeedback registrations DMA makes and how that is recorded in the analytics database:
