Re-labelling participants

If participants join the call with, for example, an IP address, they may need to be identified with something more meaningful. This can be done with Participant Re-labelling.

NOTE:

• When you re-label the participant, these changes are displayed on the video endpoints for all call participants. Ensure labels are used which are end user acceptable.

• If the participant is re-labelled and then drops from the call and re-joins, at 3.8.0 and above, the participant re-label action will need repeating. Persisting of the re-label over one or more re-joins within a specific call instance is a feature planned for a future release.

From Activity, hover over the participant name:

Change the name and select the green plus:

NOTE: leave the field empty to restore to the original name.
