Macro Deployment Overview

DMA offers the uploading, storing, and deploying of third-party and self-built macros (sometimes called automation or applications) to Cisco Collaboration devices. Without DMA, these macros must be deployed individually to each device using the local Web interface or complex scripting.

For more information about Macros in the Cisco environment, see Macro Deployment Overview

The process of Macro Deployment is:

  1. Create Macro Collection(s). See Macro Deployment Overview for more information.

  2. Create Macro Deployment. See Macro Deployment Overview for more information.

Before a Macro Collection can be produced the Macros must be uploaded The DMA File Library is used to upload macro files to the VQCM file server macros content store. This specific store is used so that the Macro Collections and Macro Deployment functions of DMA can manage the macros and associated operations and workflows.
